Golf Course Superintendent Full-time Hopkinsville Golf and Country Club Hopkinsville, KY Position Golf Course Superintendent Job Summary Responsible for all activities related to the care and maintenance of the golf course, grounds, and equipment. Plan and implement budgets. Hire, train, and supervise staff. Apply agronomic, landscaping, and horticultural principles to ensure that quality standards are consistently achieved and/or exceeded. Maintain a safe, productive work environment and ensure that market position standards are met and the golf course continually improves. Job Tasks (Duties) Maintains all grounds and course maintenance equipment. Schedules, trains, supervises, and evaluates all personnel assigned to the department. Supervises all planting, fertilizing, and care of turf, plants, shrubs, trees, and other facilities on the golf course. Supervises operation of the equipment repair shop. Assists in preparation of annual budget for department; takes corrective action as necessary to help ensure that budget goals are met. Selects, prepares, and performs proper fertilizer, fungicide, and insecticide programs for all turfgrass. Develops, maintains, and fixes drainage, irrigation, and watering systems.
