Agronomy Equipment Operator Position Description POSITION SUMMARY The Golf Course Equipment Operator is a mid-level position responsible for the safe operation of motorized turf equipment used in golf course maintenance. This role builds on laborer experience and introduces more complex mowing and operational tasks that directly impact course conditioning. Operators in this role are expected to demonstrate care in machine handling and perform light preventative maintenance. EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND SKILLS REQUIRED Experience operating golf course or landscaping equipment preferred. Familiar with most brands of golf course maintenance equipment and robotics. Brands such as Baroness. Mechanical aptitude and ability to identify equipment malfunctions. Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions. Valid driver’s license required. Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and overtime when needed. Operates all machinery in a safe, alert manner. Ensures proper required PPE usage at all times and safety devices on all machinery. Reports unsafe equipment or injuries promptly. Participates in safety briefings and equipment training. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Operates large-area mowers, triplexes, blowers, sprayers, top dressers and other large equipment. Performs daily checks on fuel, oil, tire pressure, and mower blades. M
