Cherokee Valley Golf Club is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Head Superintendent to oversee the maintenance and management of the golf course, grounds, and associated facilities. The Head Superintendent will manage a team of 10-20 staff, oversee all turf management operations, and report directly to the General Manager. Job Description/Duties Oversee daily golf course maintenance, ensuring exceptional turf quality and playability of the course and practice facilities. Manage and supervise a team of 10-20 full-time and seasonal staff members. Recruit, interview, and hire capable individuals. Ensure the proper use and maintenance of all equipment; recommend and oversee necessary equipment purchases. Utilize the Toro Lynx irrigation system Maintain records related to chemical applications (including but not limited to fertilizer, insecticide, & fungicide) and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Maintain a budget for course maintenance. Coordinate course maintenance schedules around tournaments and events, ensuring course readiness. Uphold safety and operational standards for all course operations. Collaborate with the General Manager to create and implement long-term course management strategies.
