About the job

Acceptable Experience and Education Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Parks and Recreation Administration, Golf Course Management, Agronomy, Turf Management, or a related field with five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience as a golf superintendent or managing a facility which includes a golf course, to include three (3) years of supervisory responsibility.   Or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.   Certificates and Licenses Required Must have or obtain by date of hire a valid driver's license applicable to job responsibilities, with a driving record acceptable to the County of El Paso.   Two (2) year degree or certificate in turf management or related field.   Pesticide application license. In order toaccess into the County’s network and systems, a personal smart device is required by the hire start date.  Essential Duties  Supervises and   performs day to day field operations for maintenance of golf course, clubhouse, and maintenance warehouse;   Supervises department employees, including assigning and reviewing work, monitor training sessions, conduct performance evaluations, and hire, terminate, and discipline personnel;   Motivates and works with employees to correct deficiencies; Manage the career development and performance of staff assigned;   Attends
